Pub & Restaurant Management Position

A Melbourne pub and restaurant with an established name wants an experienced Hospitality Manager to run the venue day to day and keep it professional and welcoming.
Your main areas:
- coordinating the team and managing staff performance
- customer service
- stock control
- keeping operating standards consistent
This is a hands-on job for someone who knows how a busy venue stays efficient. You will report closely to the owner, take an active lead with the team, refine daily processes and make sure guests receive a high standard of service and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day running of the pub and restaurant, handling issues and making confident decisions when it gets busy
- Lead and coordinate the team through service, working the floor and helping out when required
- Build rosters and help with payroll administration
- Track inventory, help with purchasing and ordering stock, and keep an eye on stock usage and operating costs
- Coach, support and motivate the hospitality team, and assist with recruitment, induction and ongoing training
- Keep customer service standards consistently high
- Make sure the venue stays clean and well presented
- Promote responsible service of alcohol and ensure RSA compliance
- Work alongside the owner to find and introduce operational improvements
- Help shape a workplace culture that is positive, professional and accountable
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated hospitality industry experience, including a previous supervisory or management position
- Proven ability to lead and manage staff in hospitality
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with a confident, professional manner towards customers and employees
- Able to handle busy service periods effectively
- Strong time-management and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and take responsibility for operational decisions, with a hands-on approach to running the venue
- Current and valid RSA certification
- Must be 18 years or older
- A committed, reliable approach to work
- Able to travel reliably to and from the workplace
- Can provide verifiable evidence of relevant hospitality experience
- Must meet applicable requirements for sponsorship
