Refrigeration Mechanic

Position: Refrigeration Mechanic, fly-in fly-out (FIFO) within Western Australia, advertised in Perth.

Key Responsibilities
- Track down electrical and mechanical faults and put refrigeration systems back into working order
- Run the planned servicing schedule and preventative maintenance on refrigeration plant
- Repair refrigeration gear and the equipment connected to it
- Respond fast when breakdowns or urgent maintenance jobs come up
- Carry out inspections and log what maintenance is coming due
- Fill in service reports and other maintenance records
- Liaise with the maintenance crew and wider site workforce
- Stick to site safety procedures and compliance obligations so each task is done safely and efficiently
- Look after your tools, gear and work area, and stay dependable in remote site conditions
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade-qualified Refrigeration Mechanic with relevant certification and a background in commercial and/or domestic refrigeration
- Valid ARC Licence
- A current WA Restricted Electrical Licence, plus a current driver's licence
- Prepared to obtain or convert licences and certifications where required
- Police check: Australian Federal Police Clearance, issued within the last 6 months
- Working at Heights and EWP certification (or be willing to complete)
- First Aid, LV Rescue and CPR certification (or be willing to complete)
- White Card / Construction Card held, or willing to obtain
- Can pass medical plus drug and alcohol screening
- Physically able to handle 12-hour shifts in demanding conditions
- Flexible and dependable about FIFO work, and strongly committed to safety
- Holds eligible Australian/New Zealand work rights, or is suitable for sponsorship
