Sydney NSW: a supportive aged care organisation is offering an experienced Registered Nurse the chance to build a long-term career in a professional aged care setting.
Who should apply: the role is aimed at an RN already working in Australia who wants greater stability. It is an onshore opportunity for nurses currently employed in Australia, not for applicants who are still in Pakistan or another country.
186 visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates. The position is permanent and calls for a serious long-term commitment, including a minimum 2-year contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess residents, keep track of their ongoing health conditions and act promptly when their health status changes
- Write, put in place and regularly review individual care plans
- Give medications and treatments according to clinical requirements
- Deliver nursing care that is safe, compassionate and of high quality, supporting residents' ongoing healthcare and wellbeing
- Keep clinical records thorough and accurate
- Collaborate with care staff, doctors and allied health professionals
- Communicate clearly with residents and their families
- Uphold residents' dignity, independence and quality of life in a safe, respectful care environment
- Comply with the relevant clinical, aged care and workplace health and safety standards
- Help build a positive, supportive team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Registered Nurse holding current AHPRA registration
- Currently working in Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Aged care experience is highly regarded
- Valid Australian working rights and a current Police Check
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- A compassionate, dependable and professional approach to caring for residents
- Works well in a multidisciplinary team
- A genuine interest in a long-term career in regional NSW, and willing to relocate to and live in the regional NSW area
- Committed to a minimum 2-year employment contract
