The opening: a new restaurant in Sydney, New South Wales, wants a polished, experienced hospitality professional to take a lead position in its front-of-house team.
Your influence: real ownership of the dining room from day one, helping to set service standards, shape how guests experience the restaurant and build a strong operational culture.
Ideal background: an established Restaurant Manager, or a very capable Assistant Restaurant Manager ready to step up into senior leadership. Expect premium hospitality standards, a supportive management setup and a genuine four-day working week.

Key Responsibilities
- Front of house: run the whole operation and lead the floor through lunch and dinner service
- Guest experience: make sure each guest's visit meets a high dining standard
- Standards: define professional service benchmarks and keep them in place
- Briefings: hold effective pre-service meetings with the team
- Bookings and floor plan: handle reservations, seating and table allocation, and coordinate the timing and flow of service
- Kitchen link: keep front-of-house and kitchen teams working well together
- People: manage staff performance and growth, develop junior managers and supervisors, and build an engaged, professional team
- Rosters: prepare staff rosters and keep labour costs in check
- Compliance: keep watch over operational requirements and compliance
- Performance: review how the restaurant is tracking and support operational reporting
Requirements & Eligibility
- Restaurant management experience at a premium level
- A fine dining, hatted or similarly high-end hospitality background
- Front-of-house team leadership experience
- Service know-how: strong knowledge of restaurant service standards
- Excellent communication and skill in engaging with guests
- Rostering and labour management experience
- Strong ability to lead and develop a team, with professional presentation and a confident leadership style
- Current driver's licence
- Reliable access to a vehicle
