Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial roofing systems through to completion, including metal roofing and cladding work
- Fit flashings, wall cladding and associated roofing components
- Work to project specifications, drawings and plans, measuring, cutting and positioning materials precisely
- Carry out roofing tasks at height, operating power tools, hand tools and roofing equipment safely
- Help prepare roofing materials and move them around site
- Keep workmanship standards high on every project, in line with site and safety procedures
- Keep your work area safe, organised and clean
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades on live construction sites
- Flag any installation or workmanship problems to supervisors
- Assist the crew with general cladding and roofing tasks when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated professional roofing experience, including work on industrial or commercial construction projects
- Proven metal roofing experience preferred
- Practical knowledge of cladding and roofing installation methods, and competence with standard roofing tools and equipment
- Able to work at heights safely and confidently
- Able to understand and follow specifications and construction plans
- Good knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
- Punctual, reliable and committed, with the ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with site teams
- Relevant roofing trade qualification highly regarded
- Current driver's licence preferred
- Able to provide photographs, portfolio examples or other evidence of previous roofing work
- Able to provide trade or employment history that supports the experience you claim
- Willingness to relocate and work in South Australia
