The opening: Solar Installation Technician with a growing renewable energy business that delivers commercial and industrial projects across NSW.
Background needed: solar experience is one route in, but transferable construction and installation skills are also assessed against the role. Either way, you will be asked to prove real practical ability, relevant experience and a clear understanding of working safely.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the crew installing solar systems on commercial and industrial sites, positioning panels and their mounting frames while supervised
- Work from technical drawings, manuals and installation instructions
- Handle hand tools and basic power tools the right way
- Move materials, equipment and components with care for safety
- Help prepare, set up and clean up each site, and support the crew in daily installation work
- Keep your area orderly and hazard-free and stick to established safety procedures for the workplace
- Coordinate with fellow installers, supervisors and the rest of the site team
- Complete the tasks you are given with attention to detail and quality
- Operate independently when required
- Travel interstate for projects as needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant hands-on experience in solar, construction, electrical support or installation work; previous solar installation experience is advantageous but not essential
- Can demonstrate genuine practical skills and employment history
- Understands technical drawings, manuals and work instructions
- Strong practical thinking and problem-solving
- Reliable, motivated and committed, and strongly focused on safety at work
- Comfortable working independently or within a team
- Prepared to travel interstate when required
- Holds an Australian Driver Licence and has their own vehicle and dependable transport
- Construction White Card, or willing to obtain one
- Height Safety ticket, or willing to obtain one
- Genuinely interested in building a long-term renewable energy career
- Sponsorship available for the right candidate
