Rope Access Technician

Employer: a specialist building maintenance operation in Victoria. Hiring: qualified Rope Access Technicians at Level 1, 2 or 3 who bring proven technical ability, recognised industry credentials and a dependable attitude on site.
The work: rope access combined with practical maintenance on a range of building projects across the state, covering façade services, window cleaning, painting, caulking, glazing, inspections and remedial works.
How roles are matched: by your certification level, logged rope hours, site history and any supporting trade qualifications. Extra training is offered, with possible progression into supervisory duties for those who want to advance. Keep logbooks and certificates scanned and ready alongside an English CV.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety first: carry out rope access operations in line with industry and site safety procedures, and use and maintain rope access equipment safely
- Building maintenance: high-access works and general upkeep of buildings
- Window cleaning: commercial windows cleaned using rope access techniques
- Trade tasks: painting, concrete repair, caulking and sealing
- Façade work: help with glazing and façade maintenance, and take part in façade inspections and remedial projects
- Hazard reporting: spot site hazards and equipment concerns and report them
- Quality: keep work accurate and to a professional standard
- Teamwork: cooperate with supervisors and other people on site
- Development: take part in ongoing training and development activities
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certification: current IRATA or SPRAT at Level 1, 2 or 3
- Rope hours: Level 1 candidates need at least 500 logged rope access hours
- Site cards: current Construction White Card and current First Aid certification
- Experience: practical rope access experience that can be verified
- Trade skills: demonstrated experience in window cleaning, painting, concrete repair, caulking or glazing is advantageous
- Safety: strong commitment to safe work
- Work ethic: reliable attendance, professional conduct and good attention to detail
- Documents: able to provide evidence of qualifications, tickets and relevant work experience
- Driving: Australian driver's licence preferred
- Training: willing to complete additional training where required
- Availability: Monday to Friday work and occasional Saturdays
- Sponsorship: visa sponsorship available for suitable candidates
