Sales And Bakery Operations Manager

A busy bakery in Taupo, Waikato needs a practical, dependable operations leader. This is more than a supervisor job: you will be relied on to keep day-to-day operations organised, hold standards and add to the commercial results of the business.
The bakery is looking for someone with demonstrated experience in leadership, customer service and business. Your work history should show that you take ownership, handle people with confidence and perform steadily in a fast-paced food service setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Run daily bakery operations smoothly, including staffing, and respond to day-to-day operational needs
- Coordinate and support the team on every shift, leading by example and staying hands-on when it gets busy
- Train and develop staff so service stays consistent
- Give customers a strong experience and help drive sales
- Track stock levels, ordering needs and product wastage
- Uphold food safety, hygiene and operational standards
- Find practical ways to lift sales, efficiency and customer satisfaction, and support continuous improvement across the bakery
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience in a retail, hospitality, food service or management setting
- Proven ability to lead, supervise or support staff
- Strong communication and people skills
- Customer-focused, with an understanding of sales and business performance
- Reliable and organised, comfortable taking responsibility and dealing with daily operational challenges in a hands-on way
- Stays effective in a busy, fast-moving workplace
- Previous bakery experience will be advantageous
- Able to provide supporting evidence of relevant work experience and skills
- Must meet the applicable New Zealand immigration and visa requirements
