Key Responsibilities
- Act as technical lead for electrical work on train fleet projects and confirm electrical requirements are delivered from start to finish
- Assess designs, overhaul paperwork and technical submissions from others
- Align engineering tasks between contractors, project managers and specialists
- Contribute to refurbishment, modification and reliability programs for the fleet
- Run inspections, tests, commissioning and acceptance checks
- Draft specifications, scopes of work, procedures and technical reports
- Look into equipment faults and come up with practical solutions
- Keep watch over compliance, quality and how the project is tracking
- Partner with maintenance crews, suppliers and operations people, and push improvements that raise safety and asset reliability
- Put complicated technical detail into clear terms for all kinds of audiences
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Extensive time working in rail vehicle or rolling stock electrical engineering
- Strong grasp of electrical upgrades, modifications and overhaul programs
- Has led investigations, testing and commissioning in an engineering context
- Can write scopes of work, engineering specifications and technical documents
- Excellent at analysis and solving problems, and strong at communicating and managing stakeholders
- Current unrestricted driver's licence
