Key Responsibilities
- Consult with each client in detail to understand what their hair needs
- Cut, colour and style hair and deliver the salon's other services professionally
- Turn out polished results consistently, in line with professional standards
- Offer hair extension services where you have the qualification or experience
- Suggest suitable products and routines for hair care, maintenance and styling
- Make every visit welcoming and professional, building positive long-term client relationships
- Encourage clients to return through quality work and clear, professional communication
- Present yourself and the salon to a high professional standard
- Keep your station hygienic, clean and organised, and follow salon procedures plus health and safety requirements
- Work as a team with other stylists and salon staff, adding to a productive, positive salon culture
- Stay current with hair trends, new techniques and industry developments
- Join professional training and keep developing your skills
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as a Senior Hair Stylist or experienced professional hairdresser, backed by a demonstrable history of salon work
- A relevant qualification in hairdressing or training recognised by the industry
- Able to verify professional identity, qualifications and relevant work history, and willing to go through the required verification process
- Strong technical command of today's hairdressing techniques
- Confident with client consultations and interpersonal communication
- A high level of attention to detail, with strong commitment to quality and to customer satisfaction
- Passionate about hairdressing and keen to keep developing your skills
- Professional, motivated and reliable in your approach
- Effective on your own and as part of a team
- Sound understanding of hygiene, safety and professional standards in a salon
- Experience with hair extensions is highly regarded
