Takanini, Auckland: an expanding salon is hiring 2 Senior Hairdressers, a strong next step for experienced hairdressers seeking professional work in New Zealand.
The role suits stylists with solid technical skills, confidence with clients and a real passion for quality hair services. You will cover a broad mix of cutting, colouring and styling services within a supportive, professional team.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver quality haircuts for ladies and children, finishing with polished blow waves and styles
- Do global colour and regrowth applications, plus foils, highlights and balayage
- Carry out toning, colour correction, treatments and smoothing
- Find out each client's individual hair requirements and suggest haircare products and treatments that suit
- Hold strong technical and service standards for the whole appointment
- Develop positive, professional client relationships
- Handle services confidently with minimal supervision
- Help develop and mentor junior team members
- Take part in demonstrations, workshops and practical training as required
- Keep your work area tidy, clean and professional
- Stick to salon procedures, hygiene requirements and standards in the workplace
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hairdressing qualification that is recognised and equivalent to NZQF Level 4 or higher
- Minimum 2 years working professionally in hairdressing
- Strong practical cutting, colouring, foiling and styling skills, plus experience with balayage, highlights, toning and colour correction
- Comfortable working on your own in a professional salon environment
- Strong consultation, communication and customer service skills
- A dependable, committed and professional work ethic
- Can work weekends when required
- Advantageous: beauty therapy skills or previous experience in the beauty industry
- Having mentored junior stylists or delivered practical training is advantageous
- Can clearly describe the services you perform with confidence, and openly disclose any where additional training or development may be required
- Prepared to meet the employment and visa requirements of New Zealand
