Sheet Metal Fabricator / Aluminium Fabricator

A production workshop in Western Australia is hiring an experienced Sheet Metal / Aluminium Fabricator.
You need:
- The technical skill to turn out quality fabricated products
- The confidence to work on your own in a busy production setting
How selection works: it is not a simple résumé-to-vacancy match. Applicants are assessed on verified skills, real experience and fit for the role.
Sponsorship: available for the right candidate, so experienced tradespeople overseas may want to apply. Fabricators in Pakistan should keep welding certificates and an English CV ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Read technical drawings and plans, and work from simple sketches where that is all there is
- Take measurements and prepare materials before fabrication starts
- Set up and run machines for cutting, bending and rolling
- Build and assemble aluminium and sheet metal products, then finish them accurately
- Weld aluminium by TIG and by laser
- Check every completed component for quality and accuracy
- Help keep production and the workshop running efficiently
- Work through fabrication problems with colleagues and suggest better production methods
- Look after tools, equipment and work areas
- Stick to all relevant safety and workplace procedures
Requirements & Eligibility
- Previous employment as a Sheet Metal or Aluminium Fabricator, with 3–5 years or more of relevant industry experience
- Strong practical background in aluminium welding
- Competence with TIG or laser welding
- Able to understand and work to fabrication drawings
- Has used sheet metal fabrication equipment
- Fencing and gates experience is highly regarded
- Excellent attention to detail and strong practical problem-solving ability
- Committed to quality and to safe work practices
- Overseas applicants may be considered where sponsorship eligibility requirements are met
