Cowes, Victoria: an Italian dining venue with a long history is filling a senior kitchen role. It wants an experienced Sous Chef, or a talented Chef de Partie ready to take the step into leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Help lead daily kitchen operations and coordinate the team, stepping in as leader whenever the Head Chef is absent
- Take charge of fresh pasta dishes from prep to the pass
- Plan and run daily prep, delegating duties clearly to kitchen staff
- Keep a close watch on workflow and service in peak periods
- Hold consistent standards in presentation and food preparation
- Support the hiring, training and development of junior staff
- Pitch creative ideas for specials and new menu items
- Move across multiple kitchen sections when required
- Keep the kitchen safe, clean and well organised
- Help manage stock and ingredients efficiently
Requirements & Eligibility
- 2–3 years of Sous Chef experience, or proven readiness to step up from a senior Chef de Partie position
- Skilled at making fresh pasta, to a strong standard
- Has supervised or supported junior chefs before
- Strong communication and leadership skills, along with good delegation and organisational skills
- Can manage a kitchen that moves at a fast pace
- Highly reliable and professional
- Strong focus on consistency and food quality
