Storeperson

A busy warehouse and logistics operation in Christchurch Central wants an experienced Nightshift Storeperson to keep warehouse and inventory work running efficiently.
Key terms:
- permanent, full-time, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- ongoing training and development

The work: handling stock, supporting day-to-day warehouse operations and helping deliver reliable customer service, always with a strong focus on safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload and shift goods
- Unload and devan shipping containers
- Handle stock manually and move it around the warehouse
- Receive incoming inventory, inspect it and put it away
- Pick and pack orders accurately to customer requirements, getting them ready for dispatch within the required timeframes
- Complete inventory documentation and warehouse administration
- Offer professional customer service when needed, and carry out MPI Accredited Person duties where applicable
- Stick to health and safety procedures on every shift and keep the warehouse tidy, orderly and safe
- Pull your weight as part of the nightshift warehouse team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum one year of experience operating forklifts, including forklifts up to 5-tonne capacity
- Reach truck operating experience
- Forklift licence or relevant certification preferred
- Using forklift attachments: experience is advantageous but not essential
- Physically fit for manual handling work
- Committed to safety at work, with strong attention to detail
- Works independently and within a team
- Reliable and motivated, able to work permanent nightshift hours, with good communication and organisational skills
- Logistics or warehouse experience from previous roles is highly desirable
