Trade: experienced Wall and Floor Tilers for residential work in Queensland, based around Cairns and Far North QLD.
Typical projects: whole homes, bathrooms and detailed porcelain jobs. A tiler is judged on the finished result, so the employer wants tradespeople who care about precision, know what a quality finish looks like and can prove it with their own hands.
How you will be assessed: through a practical work trial on the job, where your skill and professional approach are checked first-hand. Sponsorship is available for suitable candidates who meet the required skill and experience standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Tile walls and floors on residential jobs, from full houses to bathrooms
- Lay porcelain to a high professional standard
- Plan and mark out the tile layout accurately before fixing
- Measure and cut each tile so it fits precisely
- Keep spacing and alignment even across every surface, with tight grout lines and a clean finish
- Make sure surfaces finish level, without excessive lippage
- Prepare substrates and the work area before tiling begins
- Choose the right tools and installation methods for each job
- Check finished areas and fix any finishing problems where required
- Work safely, tidily and efficiently, cooperating with other trades and the project team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Solid professional background as a Wall and Floor Tiler, including demonstrated residential tiling work
- Able to complete tiling for an entire house
- Experience tiling bathroom walls fully
- Strong hands-on knowledge of installing porcelain tiles
- Proven ability to deliver finishes that are precise and consistent
- Able to show your tiling skills in a practical work trial, and willing to complete a practical skills assessment
- Good attention to detail and control of quality
- Own suitable tiling tools and a reliable vehicle
- Hold a valid driver's licence
- Currently based in Australia or prepared to relocate
- Reliable and professional at work, with strong communication and teamwork
