An engineering consultancy in Sydney is hiring an undergraduate engineer for its specialty and major projects team. The position is part-time.
First, understand the work. The firm advises builders and insurers. It investigates property damage in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors, prepares insurance reports and scopes of work, and carries out structural, civil and stormwater design for new developments.
Second, understand the training. It takes place at the Sydney office. Senior engineers provide close mentoring, and the role includes exposure to geotechnical, stormwater and architectural designers. The business has growth plans and offers this as a long-term career role. Visa sponsorship may be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare causation reports on defects and damage to achieve client satisfaction

- Maintain attention to detail in all technical building aspects
