Underground Electrician

A Western Australian mining operation with an established track record has a permanent opening in Underground Electrical Trades. You choose how to work: live in Kalgoorlie as a residential employee, or go FIFO from Perth.
Roster: 7/7 or 2/2, working 12-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities
- Keep underground electrical systems and equipment maintained, repaired and operating safely and reliably
- Complete planned preventative maintenance on schedule
- Attend breakdowns and sort out operational problems
- Inspect, test and fault-find, then fix electrical faults effectively
- Back up underground production and maintenance activity
- Apply the site's electrical procedures and safety rules, including isolations
- Record maintenance work accurately
- Cooperate with operational personnel and other trades
- Take part in mentoring, training and professional development
- Help improve equipment reliability and contribute to continuous improvement
Requirements & Eligibility
- An electrical trade qualification that is Australian-recognised
- Current A Grade Western Australian Electrical Licence
- At least 3 years in the electrical industry
- Mining experience desirable; experience underground advantageous
- Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence
- HV Switching ticket desirable
- Working at Heights certification desirable
- High Risk Work Licence desirable
- Strong awareness of safety and a professional work ethic
- Able to work 12-hour shifts on either a 7/7 or 2/2 roster
