Key Responsibilities
- Run the venue's daily operations and lead from the floor, setting the standard for others
- Own front-of-house performance and how service is delivered
- Supervise the hospitality team during trading
- Build and manage the staff roster
- Train, coach and support staff, keeping the workplace culture professional and positive
- Hold service and guest experience to a consistent standard, responding to feedback and resolving issues
- Handle stock orders and inventory needs
- Keep an eye on labour, stock and running costs
- Coordinate functions, events and special bookings
- Keep the venue running smoothly at peak times
- Spot operational problems and put workable solutions in place
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven background in venue management or senior hospitality supervision
- Hospitality industry experience that is demonstrated and verifiable
- Solid grasp of front-of-house operations
- Has led and developed hospitality teams
- Confident running service when the venue is busy
- Knows rostering, labour management and cost control, and has handled stock management and ordering
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to manage functions and events
- Well organised and able to juggle competing priorities
- A hands-on leader with a professional attitude who leads by example
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent demonstrated industry experience, plus the ability to provide evidence supporting your claimed skills and employment history
