Venue Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead from the floor, staying hands-on and active through busy service periods
  • Guide and motivate staff into a capable, engaged team, supporting onboarding, training, coaching and ongoing development
  • Build a positive workplace culture grounded in teamwork, accountability and respect
  • Arrange rosters and staffing to keep operations efficient, and oversee stock, ordering and inventory
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, presentation and operational organisation
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and put practical solutions in place
  • Track business performance, contribute to sales and growth initiatives and support effective cost control and responsible use of venue resources
  • Make sure workplace health and safety, food safety and operational procedures are complied with

Requirements & Eligibility

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in hospitality, restaurant or venue management
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a hospitality team, with a confident, hands-on leadership style
  • Experience handling the operational requirements of a busy venue, and the ability to stay organised and effective during busy periods
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with rostering, staff coordination and inventory management
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to contribute to sales performance and operational targets
  • A relevant employment history that can be supported by professional references and appropriate verification
  • Commitment to professional workplace and safety standards, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
