Waterproofer / Tiler

Who is hiring: a Queensland business working in construction and renovation, with a steady flow of residential and commercial projects. It needs a Qualified Waterproofer and a Qualified Tiler, both experienced.

Key Responsibilities
- Waterproofing: ready substrates and surfaces, then lay down membranes, sealants and associated products across wet areas, bathrooms, balconies and structural work
- Waterproofing: complete installations as each project specifies and check surfaces and finished applications for quality and compliance
- Tiling: measure, cut and place wall and floor tiles accurately on residential and commercial work
- Tiling: prepare surfaces to suit tiling, and complete grouting, sealing and fine finishing
- Tiling: work from drawings, plans and specifications, and coordinate tiling with waterproofing and the rest of the site works
- Cooperate with builders, tilers and other construction trades
- Meet the relevant Australian Standards, WHS requirements and site procedures
- Pick up quality issues and rectify work where required
- Deliver accurate, professional workmanship on each assigned project
- Maintain a safe, orderly and clean work area throughout every job
Requirements & Eligibility
- Waterproofing position: Recognised Waterproofing Qualification
- Waterproofing position: minimum two years of relevant industry experience preferred
- Waterproofing position: demonstrated practical background across residential or commercial waterproofing projects
- Waterproofing position: knowledge of WHS procedures, building requirements and waterproofing practices
- Waterproofing position: effective at working alongside other construction trades
- Tiling position: Certificate III in Wall & Floor Tiling or equivalent
- Tiling position: minimum two years of relevant industry experience preferred
- Tiling position: demonstrated hands-on wall and floor tiling experience
- Tiling position: strong eye for detail, measurements and finished presentation
- Tiling position: can interpret drawings, plans and specifications
- Tiling position: practical grasp of surface preparation and waterproofing requirements
- Applies to both: valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle, plus a White Card
- Applies to both: can provide supporting evidence of qualifications and employment experience, and willing to complete relevant verification and recruitment checks
