Welding is only part of it. The business wants a hands-on trades worker who has also fitted out and assembled trailers and put in mechanical and electrical parts. You will be involved from the structural frame all the way to the last system tests on each unit, so precise, consistent work and a practical approach to problems are essential every day.
Welders in Pakistan should prepare an English CV and check current emigration requirements with the Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment before travelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Join steel trailer chassis, frames and attached parts using MIG
- Check plans, dimensions and weld specs before any job begins
- Get fabricated trailer sections ready, line them up and put them together
- Mount suspension, brakes, chassis parts and other components, along with accessories and made-to-order features
- Fit hydraulic, electrical and air systems as the build requires, then test them before the unit is finished
- Use measuring instruments, hand tools and welders the right way
- Inspect each finished build for sound welds, correct dimensions and assembly quality
- Raise any sub-standard materials, components or workmanship
- Work safely and tidily in the workshop, liaising with the production crew so builds keep moving
- Meet the expected standards for quality, safety and output
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years of hands-on welding
- Has built or assembled trailers, or worked in trailer manufacturing, before
- Strong MIG welding capability on steel
- Reads and works from blueprints and technical drawings
- Competent with measuring equipment and workshop tools
- Practical knowledge of trailer braking, suspension and chassis parts
- Experience with air, hydraulic or electrical trailer systems is advantageous
- Can prove genuine practical trade experience; careful, consistent workmanship
- Dependable attendance, owns production duties and stays safety-conscious on the factory floor
- Welding certification is advantageous but not essential
- Sponsorship available for suitable candidates
