Key Responsibilities
- Handle tyre fitting for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and 4WDs, mounting tyres on standard and aftermarket wheels
- Check and adjust wheel alignment on passenger vehicles and 4WDs
- Carry out light-to-medium servicing and maintenance on vehicles
- Inspect tyres, wheels and related parts, and deal with any problems found
- Get workshop jobs done efficiently to quality standards, working towards workshop KPIs and agreed completion times
- Follow safe operating procedures and the workshop's safety rules
- Deliver accurate, professional workmanship on every task, working independently and taking ownership of finished work
- Keep tools, equipment and the work area clean and orderly
- Lend a hand to team members with general workshop tasks when needed
- Communicate professionally with customers and co-workers
Requirements & Eligibility
- Holds Certificate III in Automotive, or a qualification equivalent to it
- Automotive industry experience that is demonstrated and verifiable, with genuine technical skills and previous workshop experience you can show
- Hands-on tyre fitting and wheel alignment experience, including passenger, commercial and 4WD tyres and fitting tyres to aftermarket wheels
- Practical knowledge of automotive maintenance and repairs
- Physically capable of lifting and handling tyres
- Strong focus on quality workmanship, accuracy and safety
- Able to work independently and manage the tasks assigned
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good time management and able to meet deadlines
- Performs effectively in a busy workshop
- Current manual driver's licence
- Sponsorship available for suitably qualified candidates who have the required experience
