This is a full-time barber position in Hamilton, New Zealand, at an owner-operated barbershop with a growing customer base.
The work is set out clearly. You will cut alongside the owner, run your chair with minimal supervision and work as part of a multicultural team. The shop gives 35 to 40 hours a week, and the role can expand as the business expands.
On visas, the business is an accredited employer, which means it can employ people on the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV). Visa sponsorship support is available if required for a suitable candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Cut and trim clients' hair efficiently and to a high quality
- Shave beards and trim beards and moustaches
- Recommend haircuts and give hair product advice
- Clean equipment and the workstation between cuts, and keep the shop clean
- Open and close the shop as needed and work in a multicultural team under minimal supervision
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 1 year of barbershop experience
- Proven ability to do a quality zero fade and beard trim every time
- Experience using blades for beard shaving
- Skilled in hair styling and settings
- Well presented and professional
- Good communication skills
