This is a full-time Bricklayer position in Bunbury, WA, Australia, with a family-owned company that works in retaining walls, earthworks and brickwork.
The role exists to construct new structures to a high standard, in line with industry standards and client specifications, across residential, commercial and industrial projects. Compare your experience with each requirement below, one by one.

Key Responsibilities
- Step one on every job: study the drawings and specifications so the work matches project requirements.
- Prepare work areas and help handle materials to keep the project on schedule.
- Lay bricks, concrete blocks and stones in mortar to construct or repair structures.
- Check alignment and dimensions throughout with levels, plumb lines and measuring tools.
- Clean and point joints for weatherproof and neat finishes, using trowels, levels, mallets, brick saws and power tools that you keep in good condition.
- Keep the site safe and tidy under safety regulations and company policies, and coordinate with site supervisors and other trades.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience as a Bricklayer, including residential, commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Current formal bricklaying qualifications or completion of an apprenticeship.
- Strong knowledge of bricklaying techniques, mortar composition and bonding patterns.
- Proficient with construction drawings and specifications, and competent with hand and power tools used safely and effectively.
- Understanding of Western Australia building codes, standards and health and safety requirements.
- A current driver's licence for site-to-site travel.
- Physical fitness for demanding manual work in varying weather.
- Attention to detail, commitment to quality workmanship, excellent communication and teamwork.
- Desirable: custom construction, decorative brickwork or heritage masonry restoration.
- Desirable: current First Aid certification and White Card (Construction Induction Card).
