Trade · Bundaberg, QLD, Australia · Full-Time · $85,000 - $95,000/yr · Visa: Employer sponsored
A trade-qualified mechanical fitter is needed at a packing facility in the Bundaberg region of Queensland. The employer is a vertically integrated horticultural business operating across Australia, established and growing, and the hiring is handled by an agricultural recruiter.
The structure of the role is clear. You report to the Maintenance Supervisor and work in a small maintenance team. Your core task is maintaining, servicing and repairing packing line machinery and associated mechanical equipment. The targets are fewer breakdowns, better equipment reliability and efficient production.
The schedule has conditions. First, you need flexibility for additional hours and occasional Saturdays during peak production. Second, during harvest there is some travel to support maintenance at another packing facility in the Northern Territory. Visa sponsorship is available for suitably qualified candidates.
