Here is the position in brief. A Western Australian painting business, active in residential and commercial work for over 25 years, is hiring a Painter & Decorator Team Leader for its Painting Division in Perth. The role is full-time and permanent.
Next, the reporting structure. The Team Leader reports to the Painting Manager and directs a team across numerous sites. The company places weight on correct detailing, on-time project delivery, specialty finishes, wallcoverings and customer relations.
Then the profile. Applicants with painting and decorating experience in commercial construction suit the role, along with a record of very high-standard work. TSS482 visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Report to the Painting Manager directly
- Motivate team members on every site
- Work with the team across numerous sites
- Manage projects and personnel
- Supply solutions to problems, or work with the Painting Manager to a positive outcome
- Keep the workplace safe; comply with OSH policies, company procedures and induction manuals
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade Certified Painter (must have served out an apprenticeship)
- Proven record as leading hand or 2IC
- Ability to run projects and team members, with strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to provide solutions or work with the Painting Manager for a positive result
- Detail focus for quality control; reads and understands project drawings (floor plans/elevations)
- Manual driver's license
- White card
- Subcontractors or ABN holders are not accepted
- Desirable: EWP and/or Working at Heights ticket
- Desirable: First Aid
- Desirable: airless spraying
- Current National Criminal History Check
