First, the position. Several Senior Network Engineers are needed on long-term contracts in Sydney, NSW. The client is a major bank carrying out an infrastructure and technology modernisation programme. The hiring firm is an IT consultancy with experience in government, finance, telecommunications and enterprise projects going back to 2003.
Next, the work itself. You will design critical networking constructs, implement them in support of each large migration phase and complete a proper handover. Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI with APIC, and F5 GTM and LTM are the main platforms.
Then the conditions. The roles are strictly onsite, so they are for onshore candidates already based in Sydney and holding a valid work visa. Visa sponsorship and existing visa takeover opportunities are available.

Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure complex networking constructs on Cisco ASA and ACI
- Convert high-level design specifications into firewall configurations
- Carry out passive and canary deployments
- Validate rule sets after each deployment
- Configure and manage F5 GTM and LTM appliances for traffic distribution
- Maintain high availability and disaster recovery compliance with F5 integration
- Prepare and execute rigorous change control and rollback procedures
- Monitor post-deployment performance and update documentation for handover
Requirements & Eligibility
- Strong hands-on experience in Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI and APIC
- Proven track record of deploying and troubleshooting firewall policy in enterprise networks
- Expertise in F5 GTM and LTM appliance configuration and support
- Solid understanding of network capacity planning and performance monitoring
- CCNP / CCIE or equivalent industry certifications highly regarded
- Based in Sydney
- Holding a valid work visa; roles are strictly onsite
