This is a casual Assistant Chef position at a Sydney pub that has recently changed ownership. Here is the role, in order.
To begin with, the venue. The new owners plan to turn it into a lively neighbourhood hub and sports venue with a strong food offering. Renovations are planned across the hotel, entertainment is set to grow and lunch and dinner are served daily across several areas.
Next, the roster. Shifts are on Monday and Tuesday for lunch and dinner, and Saturday and Sunday for lunch or dinner. More hours are expected as the venue grows.
Finally, timing. Applicants who can start immediately are strongly preferred, and the venue may be able to offer sponsorship opportunities to the right candidate.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience in a commercial kitchen and confidence during a busy service
- Reliable and punctual with a great attitude, positive energy and a strong team attitude
- Ability to work independently and to follow the Head Chef's direction
- Pride in quality, consistent food and enjoyment of modern pub food and fresh produce
- Works well under pressure and in a team, and is flexible across lunch, dinner and weekend services
