This is a full-time, permanent Caregiver position at a dementia care home in Christchurch, New Zealand. The hours are a minimum of 30 per week, and shifts are allocated across a 24/7 roster.
The hourly rate is set by level. Level 1 starts at $23.95, and Level 4 and above is paid $28.25. The provider runs homely care settings and supports its close-knit team with mentoring and training.
The employer is an Immigration New Zealand Accredited Employer. Visa sponsorship applies only to applicants who meet the qualification condition in the requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care such as showering and dressing, in a holistic and culturally safe manner
- Assist with eating, mobility and communication
- Participate in care planning for residents with dementia
- Implement each resident's therapy plan
- Observe residents and report on progress; report any change or concern without delay
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records
- Support registered nurses within the limits of your scope of practice
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commitment to improving the lives of elderly people with kindness and empathy, plus a passion for aged care
- Able to work any shift on a 24/7 roster
- Caregiving experience preferred; experience in dementia care is a strong advantage
- Visa support requirement: Registered Nursing degree, or Level 4+ caregiving qualification with International Qualification Assessment (IQA)
