Position overview first. This is a long-term, full-time Ceiling Fixer / Gypsum Board Installer vacancy in Perth, WA, on major commercial construction projects.

Installers who built their commercial experience in New Zealand are a priority, but others with the right skills are also considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Ceilings: fix T-bar / grid suspended systems, plasterboard ceilings and acoustic ceiling systems
- Ceiling support: put up frames, furring channels and suspension systems
- Walls: erect steel stud partitions and walls, then sheet them in plasterboard / gypsum board (fire-rated and acoustic systems too)
- Features: form bulkheads and specialist interior features
- Set-out: work from plans, measure and set out with no supervision
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercial experience that is strong across ceilings, partitions, plasterboard and interior systems
- Plan reading and interpretation
- Measuring and setting out
- Working independently
- Particular interest: past work in New Zealand on hospitals, schools, apartments, offices, high-rise or major commercial projects
- Strong spoken English; good employment history
- At interview, a clear explanation of the work you completed personally
