Registered Nurses are required for a busy, well-regarded Emergency Department in Canberra, ACT. The positions are permanent and can be full time or part time, with flexible rostering.
Day to day, you will nurse patients needing resuscitation, people with acute injuries, children, patients with mental health concerns and the general emergency caseload. You will be one member of a tight team drawn from several disciplines, and rostering rotates through night duty. Newcomers are inducted through a set orientation programme, development continues afterwards, and staffing ratios for nurses are sound.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in resuscitation and acute trauma cases
- Attend to paediatric, mental health and general emergency presentations
- Work within a close-knit multidisciplinary emergency team
- Complete rotating shifts, including nights
Requirements & Eligibility
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration that is current
- Experience gained earlier in an emergency department
- Highly regarded: a triage background or ED qualifications, e.g. a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing
- ALS/BLS certification in date, or willing to complete it
- Sound clinical judgement and calm under pressure, puts the team first, and can work rotating shifts with nights
