A boutique accounting firm in Brisbane, Australia, is hiring a Junior or Intermediate Accountant on a full-time basis. The role sits within the Tax & Business Services team of a progressive and well-regarded practice located on the city fringe.
Here is how the role is set up. First, the firm provides accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a varied client base. Second, it bills on fixed fees, with no timesheets or traditional targets, and focuses on quality, efficiency and client results. Third, you will work directly with a Senior Manager who mentors you throughout.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare BAS, financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
- Assist in taxation compliance and in general business services
- Liaise with the ATO, ASIC and any other relevant authorities
- Work closely with senior members of the team to deliver quality work and excellent outcomes for clients, and develop exposure to tax planning and advisory services over time
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience of a minimum of 18 months in Australian public practice accounting, specifically in Tax & Business Services
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting
- Interest in completing the CA or CPA qualification, or current study towards it
- Experience in Xero or similar accounting software, along with strong communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, a positive and motivated attitude, and a genuine desire to continue developing your accounting career
