Position overview first. This is a permanent full-time Registered Nurse role in residential aged care, based in Coffs Harbour, NSW.
The employer is a not-for-profit aged care provider. The work runs on a rotating roster of mornings, afternoons and nights, and the nurse reports to the Care Manager. Initial 482 sponsorship is available, with pathways to permanent residency for eligible applicants.
In order, the job asks you to deliver best-practice clinical care, lead the shift and supervise the personal care team, respond to changes in residents' needs, and keep strong relationships with residents and families.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clinical care to residents in line with best-practice nursing standards
- Lead the shift, providing coaching, supervision and guidance to personal care staff
- Identify and respond to residents' changing needs using clinical judgement, and build trust with residents and families
- Support a positive, safe, inclusive environment and follow clinical, safety and organisational policies and procedures
Requirements & Eligibility
- AHPRA registration, held currently
- Bachelor of Nursing, or an equivalent
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, ideally covering aged care
- Aged care legislation: sound knowledge
- Aged Care Quality Standards: working knowledge
- AN-ACC assessment processes: clear understanding
- Strong clinical knowledge of ageing and the conditions related to it
- Confidence in coaching, mentoring and supporting care staff, along with strong communication, conflict-resolution and emotional-intelligence skills
- Competent IT skills and a positive, collaborative approach
