A recruitment agency is filling a permanent Registered Nurse position in aged care in regional Queensland. The workplace is a 52-bed community residential facility located in a small country town, under two hours from Hervey Bay. The start is immediate.
The work is organised around four areas. First, direct nursing care and medication management for residents. Second, care planning and accurate clinical records. Third, supervision of care staff. Fourth, quality and compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
Eligible candidates who are already located in Australia may receive sponsorship support, including potential Subclass 407 or 485-related pathways, subject to individual eligibility and immigration requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care to residents according to their individual needs
- Administer medications and monitor health and wellbeing
- Prepare, implement and review individualised care plans
- Supervise care staff and maintain high standards of care
- Maintain accurate clinical records and communicate with residents, families and other healthcare professionals
- Comply with the Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical reviews
- Respond promptly to changes in condition and medical emergencies, and complete continuing professional development
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum six months' experience as an RN in aged care
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Knowledge of AN-ACC funding
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Intermediate computer skills and confidence using clinical documentation systems
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance and current National Criminal History Check
- Valid Queensland driver's licence
