A regional hospital in Bairnsdale, Victoria, is recruiting dual-registered Registered Nurse / Midwives for its maternity unit. The scope of the role is clear and is set out below in order.
First, continuity of care, which means supporting women in the antenatal stage, in the birth suite and in the postnatal period. Second, emergencies, where you manage obstetric emergencies with confidence. Third, teamwork, working with GP obstetricians in a shared care model and taking part in day-to-day decisions in a small, supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Eligibility
- Registered Midwife: current AHPRA registration
- Registered Nurse: current AHPRA registration as well, so that you hold both
- At least 4 years of recent experience covering antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care
- Strong clinical skills and confidence over the full pregnancy-birth continuum
- Level 3 fetal surveillance qualification, with support given to attain it if needed
- Cover letter, resume with two recent referees and a response to the key selection criteria
