Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients according to accepted nursing practice and standards
- Plan the nursing care each patient requires
- Implement the planned care and evaluate the result
- Consult with other health professionals and coordinate patient care within healthcare teams
- Provide treatments, medications and therapies listed in care plans
- Monitor those treatments, medications and therapies
- Lead health promotion activities and participate in patient education
- Supervise and coordinate Enrolled Nurses and other healthcare workers
- Maintain healthcare documentation and records accurately
- Comply with current clinical standards (home care, aged care, hospitals, community nursing) and with Work Health and Safety legislation, maintain infection control standards and report incidents and hazards promptly
Requirements & Eligibility
- Registration: current AHPRA registration
- Qualification: relevant nursing qualification for a Registered Nurse
- Experience in community nursing
- Experience in home care
- Minimum one year's full-time relevant experience
- National Criminal History Check that is current
- Working with Children Check that is current
- Manual Handling Certificate that is current
- Driver's licence that is valid
- Vaccinations that are current: COVID-19 and influenza
- Certificate in Infection Control (Infection Control certificate)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
