Position overview first. Two Diesel Mechanic / Trailer Mechanic roles are available in Adelaide, SA, both permanent and full-time, with a logistics business whose workshop team is expanding.
Duties follow a clear order. You service the trucks and semi-trailers, diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, braking and suspension systems, repair trailer components and complete NHVR safety inspections. Every job is then written up in the records.
The employer offers 482 visa sponsorship to the right, eligible candidate. Qualified mechanics already in Australia or applying from overseas are welcome if they meet the visa requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel trucks and semi-trailers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, braking and suspension faults and fix them
- Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled services
- Repair air brake systems, axles, wheel bearings, landing legs and trailer components
- Perform safety inspections in line with NHVR compliance
- Fill in maintenance records and job reports
- Work efficiently to a high standard
- Follow the workshop's maintenance schedule
Requirements & Eligibility
- Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification or equivalent
- Experience on heavy vehicles and trailers
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with air brake systems and trailers' maintenance
- Able to work independently or in a team
- HC/MC driver's licence is an advantage
- Strong work ethic
- Commitment to safety
