This is a Heavy Diesel Mechanic vacancy in Perth, Western Australia, with a family-owned transport and tourism company. The workshop maintains a diverse fleet of coaches and buses, and the employer wants them kept safe, reliable and presentable.
The work falls into four areas, namely servicing, modification, diagnosis and repairs. There may also be occasional work at other WA locations.
Eligibility is clear. Applicants must be already living in Australia with current Australian working rights. Employer sponsorship is available for suitably qualified applicants. Coach or bus experience is highly regarded but not essential. Work may be casual or full-time, with hours and shifts decided at interview. The closing date is 21 November 2026.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect each vehicle and maintain it to the company standard
- Identify faults across a range of heavy vehicles
- Complete servicing and repair work on heavy vehicles
- Fit mechanical components and repair them
- Document fleet and repair work as required by the manufacturer's specifications and the WA omnibus vehicle maintenance program
- Support the vehicles' monitoring equipment: communications, CCTV, GPS tracking, wifi and sensors
- Enter service history online, carry out general maintenance in the workshop and conduct test drives as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Holding a heavy commercial vehicle mechanical trade qualification or similar
- Heavy diesel vehicle background; buses and coaches preferred, not essential
- Strong diagnostic ability, together with knowledge of the WA transport compliance requirements
- Current Australian working rights
- Driver's licence that is current, HR class highly regarded
- Working at heights certificate and relevant high risk work licences held, or willingness to obtain them
