Role at a glance. A permanent, full-time Chef Manager is required for an aged care kitchen near Goulburn, NSW. The employer is an Australian-owned contract catering provider with 25 years of service in aged care, education, retail and remote services.
You would work a fixed Monday to Friday pattern, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Your core tasks are to organise the kitchen yourself, cook fresh meals in bulk, prepare texture-modified food for residents with set diets and keep food safety standards high. Sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Schedule the kitchen's work each morning and decide what comes first, without supervision
- Produce wholesome meals from fresh ingredients, often in high volumes
- Follow each resident's diet plan and the agreed standards when making modified-texture meals
- Apply strict hygiene and cleaning routines and safe food handling
- Treat residents and clients with courtesy so meal times go well
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercial cookery trade qualification, recognised
- Food Safety Supervisor qualification held currently
- Prior work in food prep, bulk cooking and day-to-day kitchen operations
- Understands texture-modified diets and how to meet individual dietary requirements
- Strong at customer service and at communicating
- Works independently, handles priorities and keeps standards high
- Holds a current National Criminal History Check
- Can comply with the flu vaccination requirements set by the site
