A café on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, run by its own independent owners and rated highly by customers, is hiring a full-time Chef. Its food style is clear: inventive dishes for breakfast and lunch, good produce, preparation done in-house and sincere hospitality.
The level is flexible. The employer will consider an experienced Chef, a Senior Cook moving up, or a Sous Chef or Head Chef. Duties will be set according to the successful applicant's abilities and leadership potential. The work is quick and busy, mostly on day shifts, alongside owners who are hands-on in the business.
Employer sponsorship may be possible for suitable applicants. It depends on the position and on visa eligibility requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook breakfast and lunch dishes and send them out to a high standard
- Keep every plate fresh, consistent and well presented
- Organise food preparation so the kitchen runs efficiently
- Follow and support food safety, cleaning and stock control
- Back up the team in busy services and suggest ideas for the menu and kitchen
- Take on leadership, staff training and kitchen management duties as appropriate
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience in a professional commercial kitchen
- Confidence under pressure in busy services
- Pride in food quality, presentation and consistency
- Organised, efficient and able to work well in a team
- A positive attitude, a strong work ethic and comfort with early starts and weekend work
- Previous leadership experience highly regarded
