Two childcare centres in Cairns are filling 12 full-time Childcare Worker roles. The work involves children aged 0 to 6 and covers care, learning and family communication.
Start with the qualification. You must be enrolled in or hold a Certificate III, or hold a Diploma in Early Childhood.
Next comes the visa side. The employer is authorised by the Government to sponsor qualified workers from abroad, and the occupation appears on the approved list. Four conditions sit on top of that: visa type and conditions, a passed ACECQA skills assessment, English test scores and a successful trial period.
After that, look at the duties, which run from a safe environment and curriculum support to EYLF, NQF and NQS records and regular contact with parents.

Requirements & Eligibility
- Enrolled in or holding a Certificate III, or holding a Diploma in Early Childhood
- Must enjoy and be passionate about working with children aged 0-6 years
- Excellent spoken and written communication, with the computer literacy needed for electronic programming and portfolios
- Must hold a current Queensland Blue Card
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements under the National Regulations and National Quality Standards
- Successful applicants need First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
- Hard-working and enthusiastic, with an open mind and an innovative approach
