Commis Chef
Visa sponsorship
Hospitality · Queenstown, New Zealand · Full-Time · $28 - $29/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored
A hotel bar and restaurant in Queenstown, New Zealand, is recruiting two Commis Chefs. Each position is permanent at 30 hours a week, and rosters cover late nights, weekends and public holidays.
The work is organised around a rustic, hearty menu. Your tasks will include setting up with quality produce, cooking breakfast, preparing conference catering, plating each order and finishing with washing up and supply care. Dietary orders such as dairy-free and gluten-free, hygiene rules and HACCP procedures are part of every shift.
To qualify, you must have worked in a similar position and with an à la carte menu. An NZQCF Diploma is expected, or at least three years of relevant experience as a substitute. A safe food handling certificate is an advantage. The employer can potentially offer visa sponsorship for the right candidate.
