A well-established Sydney pub is recruiting a full-time Duty Manager. The venue serves loyal regulars and trades consistently across bar, gaming, sport, events and guest rooms. It is part of a larger hotel group with a focus on strong governance, clear standards and leader development.
The work is organised around three things. First, you own your shifts. Second, you contribute to front-of-house operations. Third, you support back-of-house operations.
The role suits an experienced Duty Manager or a senior supervisor who is ready for a broader leadership position, with potential to progress within the group. Sponsorship is available.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead bar and gaming shifts
- Lead function and guest room shifts
- Manage the venue's opening and closing routines
- Count and handle cash, then complete shift reports
- Help run functions and events
- Place stock orders, keep stock levels accurate and work with suppliers
- Give input on staff rosters so labour is used efficiently
- Keep the venue within RSA, RCG, gaming, WHS and food safety rules
- Help with promotions inside the venue and marketing in the local area
- Train and develop staff, keeping service and the guest experience at standard
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 1 year of experience as a Duty Manager or Senior Supervisor, plus experience with gaming, TAB and KENO
- Current RSA, plus current RCG and ARCG
- Strong presence as a leader, with strong skills in communication
- Calm, organised and solution-oriented
- Able to balance service, people and compliance comfortably
- Back-of-house experience is highly regarded; functions, guest rooms, inventory, rostering, compliance reporting and local marketing experience is favourable
