Four Waiter positions are open at a modern Asian restaurant in central Christchurch, New Zealand. The role is permanent and full-time, with a minimum of 30 hours each week.
First, know the venue. It is a popular, stylish restaurant with an aquarium, and it expects staff to serve food and drinks using its own selling system while giving warm, personal service.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and describe the menu and offerings
- Take orders and deliver them to the correct tables
- Process orders on the POS and handle electronic and cash payments
- Clear, reset and clean tables and the restaurant
- Apply NZ liquor laws and communicate licensing requirements to guests and management
- Complete in-house food, beverage and service training and promote products under restaurant policy
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least six months of experience in a similar role, or a Level 2 or 3 Diploma qualification
- Good knowledge of NZ liquor laws
- Availability for nights and weekends
- Availability during the busy summer months
- Motivation to work hard and learn the restaurant's offerings and service standards
